In a heartbreaking incident a mother of four children lost her life while trying to save her children from fire in Khanke camp. The oldest son in the family got serious burns, other three had minor burns. In the last 11 years, fire incidents have frequently occured in formal camp and non formal camp settings, leaving families with nothing and sometimes causing daeth. The tents are very old, burning in summer and freezing in winter. The tents are supposed to be replaced by UNHCR every year but they have been the same. Our team has been able to provide these families with emergency support like food, santary, bedding, air cooler, heating stoves, washing mashine and the like. We are graetful for the partners and friends who have always been there in such hard conditions.
